"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
This is one of my favorite quotes because if we want to see a positive change in the world, we must do those changes in ourselves rather than waiting or expecting others to do them. - Najma
Prophet Mohammed's Life Story
(May peace be upon him) It's truly captivating because of his unwavering faith. Despite facing numerous challenges, he remained steadfast in his beliefs, inspiring us to face obstacles with courage and determination. His lessons on kindness and forgiveness are deeply ingrained, urging us to be compassionate even to those who may harm us. - Farhiya
"Verity" - novel by Colleen Hoover
This book was truly inspiring. I've read many books, but this one helped me as a writer. The characters are incredibly well developed , and their emotions and struggles feel real, making it easy to connect to them. The books gripping narrative and powerful storytelling make it impossible to put down. - Najma
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present". - Disney
This quote resonates with me because I find myself pondering the fate of my future while analyzing the history of my past. This causes me to reground myself and remember the art of a blank canvas, a new day, in knowing that I have a new chance every day to create a masterpiece. - Kamora
My favorite novel is Caroline B. Cooney's "The Face on the Milk Carton."
The story centers around Janie Johnson, a teenager who grapples with the suspicion that her parents kidnapped her. This unsettling possibility compels Janie to search for her "real parents," whom she believes live in New Jersey.
The book's setting in New Jersey resonates deeply with me, as it's my home state. Interestingly, "The Face on the Milk Carton" was first published in 1990, the very year I was born!
Cooney's novel prompts readers to reflect on their own upbringings. As we grow up and forge our identities, we often seek answers about ourselves and our past. "The Face on the Milk Carton" perfectly captures this yearning for self-discovery, which is why I consider it not only a favorite but also my current staff pick.
